06 4.8is Headlight problem

Okay so on my used 4.8is I bought recently the driver side headlight has been out and I've been slowly trying to fix it / figure out whats wrong and right now I am stumped trying to figure this out. Being the 4.8is I have the HID adaptive headlights that also move as I turn the wheel ans such ect. Now first thing we tried was the bulb, got a bulb off a friend and tried to replace it, still didn't work. Then we tried the ballast and that also didn't fix it. Finally we said well shit lets just flip the lights and plug the left side into the right side and vise versa and so we did that, now this is where it gets funny, THEY BOTH WORKED! Passenger side light came right on and the drivers side took about 30 seconds to come on but it eventually did. Now since this fixed the problem it seemed we took the light/ballast out of the passenger side light and put it into the drivers side and put the drivers side light and put it in the passengers side. Put the assembly all back together and put the lights in and close up the bumper but did not screw it down yet and turned on the car to just test and make sure it worked, annnd the passenger side came on right away the driver side didnt come on. Shits and giggles we took the bumper BACK off and swapped the lights left and right again just to see if we could get them both to come on and they eventually both came on (passenger side right away drivers side after about 30 seconds). But as soon as we put the assembly back into its proper position rather than sitting on top of the bumper the driver side light just wont come on. We've checked the voltage going to the light on both and they both show they are pushing the same amount of voltage. At this point I just said fuck this and fuck these HID's and I bought this kit to try and convert my light to LED's and well that's the last time I blindly listen to amazon saying "this fits your vehicle!" because they definitely don't fit, but trying to fit these in today I did figure something else out. Before hand my car never said anything on the dash about the driver side headlight being out, not a check light, not a warning or anything. But now it does so I don't know if that's a step in the right direction orrr its just getting worse? My car now says "Check Side Lights" which I assume its talking about my headlight? Because all other lights are working. The only other thing it could be is I bought some LED Angel Eye bulbs to replace my old Angel Eyes with and I guess maybe it thinks those are out even though they are working? Anyway as you can see this has been nothing really but a headache and I'm really looking for help here as I have no idea how to proceed besides splicing wires and making it work by attaching the driver side wires to the passengers and I really don't wanna have to do that.
