Can someone tell me the symptoms of over and under filling the transmission with ATF in a 4HP24?
I recently pulled my valve body to clean the solenoid screen to see if that would fix my hard shift and it did for a little while.
My hard shifting is back and I am pretty sure I filled it properly. New fluid (did not reuse) warm transmission, moved it through the gears and topped off to fill line. Moved though the gear a few more times and checked level and it was still good.
I notice that when turning or going up or down a hill that the shift is not as hard or shifts nicely. I also will get rare nice shifts from normal driving.
Any thoughts? Do I need to clean my screen again?
