First of all, I bought this cable(BMW INPA / Ediabas K+DCAN USB Interface, D-CAN, CAN) from ebay that was around $34. I've tried both versions of BMW Standard Tools 2.11 and 2.12. I've a macbook air with VMware Fusion verison 7.1.2 installed on it. In VMWARE Fusion, I'm running Windows XP Professional Version 2002 SP3. Every time, I try to check the connection with the car( ignition switch turned on) and the two circle dots that are in the INPA application would still not fill up. I'm not sure if the issue is with the cable or with the softwares I'm using. Could someone please advice me on this? Thanks a lot.
