Hood latch won't release on one side

Hi again,

recently, my car hood won't open up. It turns out the passenger side latch won't release some times. Sometimes if I'm lucky it opens up after driving for awhile. My initial guess was latch springs were dirty so I cleaned them with a brush. But today, it just won't open up.

Since driver side latch releases, I can lift the hood slightly but not enough to easily get to the passenger side latch.

I haven't looked underneath the car yet to find a way. Is there any proper way to release the latch? Dealership Techi didn't know and said don't know how long it would take them to fix it.
