I've had a flickering oil pressure light for about a week now. I installed a new oil pressure switch today but that wasn't the problem. It only happens at idle and if I bump up the RPM's just a hair (less than 100), it goes out. Otherwise engine is perfect...
So, I was due for an oil change anyway and switched to a 15w50 which some guys have said solved the same issue, or at least covered it up. Now the light is on all the time and the engine is ticking. Should I drain and try thinner weight? The 15w50 has done the opposite of what I would expect.
I'm going to check the actual pressure tomorrow.

BTW, car is a '95 vert which I've owned for 12 years, 140k. Engine has had amazing maintenance and is like brand new inside, zero sludge.
