My mother has had a 525i m20 auto that needs to either get sold, junked, or taken into possession. It has been sitting for a few years, however there is no rust and the original schwarz is decent. Interior has typical flaws like door panels delaminating.
The engine is pretty rough, needs a rad, and tranny was sluggish (believe no 1st gear).
I was wondering, what would be the process of wiring an m50 instead? Could I actually just use an e36 donor (seem to be more common) to swap the car to m50 5speed?
Financially, it would make more sense just to buy a manual e34 but I would hate to see this car go to east
