Hi Guys,
This last weekend I flew to Montana and picked up a 1 owner Techno Violet sedan with 71,xxx miles. I really didn't need another project as I have a decent build going on a 328i, but it was too good of a deal to pass up. Overall the car is super clean and I'm really excited to have had the opportunity to pick it up and get back into another M3.
Some of you have probably seen my other car on BFC, but here is a pic if not.

Anyway, it took me over a month to get to Montana so I have had some time to accumulate a few parts. Plans are to bring the maintenance up to date and do some OEM+ mods to it...pretty much the opposite of the 328i.
So far I've gathered or ordered the following:
-Crossbrace
-Silver DSII's
-Air filter, cabin filter, fuel filter, spark plugs, VCG, etc.
-Mishimoto hoses
-Mishimoto Expansion tank and fan shroud
-Stewart water pump
-New ZKW's :agree:
-RSM's and Used Bilsteins and H&R Sport Springs (which I started this thread about, if anyone has any ideas or opinions please let me know)
http://ift.tt/1OyHqqN
-Diff Fluid
-Hood and trunk struts
Things still needing attention:
-Brakes all around
-There is a good drivetrain vibration when stopped under load, I'm thinking it probably needs motor or transmission mounts, or both. This weekend I'll get it up on jack stands.
-Fog light is busted
-Nose panel is pushed in
-blown speakers
-sagging headliner
-Rear bumper is a little bit tweaked on driver's side
Other Plans:
-Three spoke wheel from Shepott
-Suspension if I don't use the Bilstein's
-Wheel studs
-Drain and fill the transmission
-Probably some square wheels
-Swap the driver/passenger seats
And that's about it for now. Not planning on doing anything major, just want to bring it all the way back and make it super clean. No plans in the near future for a tranny swap.
Here is the first pic I saw of the car:

These are after I got it home and spent pretty much all day Sunday cleaning and detailing:

It even has the original windshield with the break-in instructions!

Anyway, thanks for checking it out. I'm hoping to do a much better job of documenting and updating this build thread than I have for any of my other cars, so hopefully there will be updates soon!
