What is the name of the part listed on this diagram as #1?
I have vacuum going to it from #4 but nothing coming out of it. If I blow or suck on the tube listed as #12 I get absolutely no resistance. I cleaned the part to the left of #2 (not sure what it's called). I also checked it's vacuum and to see if it was opening and closing. It seemed to work properly. So I'm going to guess that the reason I'm getting a "55 Activation, secondary-air valve" code on my C110 is due to this part being bad. I just don't know what it's called for sure. I thought the part I cleaned was the air valve?
Any help you can give me would be awesome. I just bought this car. It's my first BMW. I'm trying to address all the codes on this car so I can pass NY inspection and get to enjoy this beautiful car.
