Hi to all reading this..... i am new to this site also ... due to my new found love of my car and how expensive it can be , i need some friendly advice without costing me a bomb :rolleyes
Had a new water pump and expansion bottle and thermostat due to overheating , after 1 hours driving with the bottle near the max mark , with the temps all ok at 12:00 the yellow radioator light came on , so i parked up to my suprise the water tank was empty!!!
After narrowing it down to were i was loosing all my coolant and water (distilled).... was a tiny hose in size and diametre (about a foot long and about 1cm-2cm wide) this tiny hose coming from the top of the water bottle is lying disconected and is flooding all the coolant from the car when the car heats up....?
Is there anybody who can kindly tell me were this small hose is connected or is it an overflow pipe of some sort?
Also should i replace my my water tank (cap), iM near sure there pressurised !?
