I am keeping the stock HU, have added the GROM, installing the passive crossover network from GAS, the BSW stage 1 speaker upgrade with an Alpine PDX-V9 100x4 & 500x1 amp with a 4 ohm JL W3 single 12".
My question is about doing the line level conversion. From talking with Paul, it seems the OEM radio unit in the trunk only sends 2 feeds out to the DSP processor/amp. He had stated that in order to get 4 lines feeds out, I would need to get a non DSP connector and add the 2 pins for the other 2 feeds. Does anyone know where I can get that connector (since all E38's seem to have DSP in the US) or how I can bypass/workaround? I am hoping to get my installer to do all the work this Friday so I am on a time crunch. Next week would be the latest as I want to have it done for the 7 meet in MD on the 29th.
