So I recently swapped a 3.0 from a 01 330 into my 02 325 and everything was all and well until I got check eng light for p0444 followed by p0171 and p0174. I knew they were all tied together so no biggy looked up the code, purge control valve circuit open. Okay found out it's a pretty common failure item so I swapped the one from my old engine which I new was good. Check eng light went off on its own everything's fine. Now it just came back on again after a couple weeks with same p0444 code followed by the other lean codes. What do you guys think is going on? Checked the voltage to the plug getting 12.2 volts seems fine, what gives?? Only thing I can think of is that I haven't gotten ecu reflashed yet but had no other problems at all, car runs great! Could it be because of the larger maf but same fuel output for the 2.5 running lean?
