I am wondering the exact location of the smalll plastic trim piece under the handle. Does the piece go on top of the headliner or underneath the headliner? The real OEM parts diagram just shows the part, not how it is assembled.
I am curious because the part was floating around under the headliner when I took the headliner out. I assume it is installed after the headliner is placed back into the car, and protects the material form the handle.
Doesn't make sense for it to be underneath, does it?? Maybe it just fell out when I removed the headliner and ended up underneath. thanks.
