Interesing & Lucky Find....

It seems I might have to designate the Sterling M-Sport as the daily driver as someone rammed my truck on Friday and now the reverse is out. I decided I would like to put M-Pars back on the car, so I went on a search for a set. I found one on a parts car a friend had - so I agreed to pick up the car, at least just for the wheels. Car is a 2000 540i Auto, Non Sport with a 1999 build date. We agreed to a few hundred for the whole car - engine was dead, the chains had jumped and broken the VC's. He wanted the Vanos units, so he pulled those out.

I checked out the car and confirmed the M-Pars were indeed OEM, a little rough but had Pirelli P-Zeros on them, so I figured it was worth the purchase. Wheels alone were worth the price. I opened the hood and noticed the car had coilovers - not sure which type yet. Also, the headlights are OEM Euro units. Interesting I thought. When I got the car home, I was checking out the trunk to figure out if the CELIST tail lights had a ballast set up - or maybe it was a reprogrammed LKM. I then noticed that the car had the M-Audio system from the M5. WHOA!

I figured it was worth taking a closer look at the car. Next, I found DINAN Front and Rear Sway bars! I am going to part the car out next week - I wonder what I might find next. Car is a bit of an enigma to me.
