New to the forum and really enjoying the great knowledge base here.
This will be our first BMW and my first lease. We live in VA and are looking for a '15 X5 xDrive35i. Our closest dealers are Charlottesville/Richmond, and a ton in the NOVA area(Alexandria,Arlington, DC, etc).
We drove a few yesterday. The pickings are a bit slim, but dealers seem to have decent deals. I'm interested in what options/packages that you all have found indispensable vs. disappointing. I think we definitely want the Premium,cold weather,driver assist plus, Harmon stereo. The better seats are nice, but I don't need the M package.
Any advice about options in general? it seems to be a hodge podge and a bit random to find things you really want vs. stuff you really wouldn't spec.
Lastly any tips for a first time lease? They asked how many miles I wanted ...I'm thinking 12k. And as far as lease length....seems they wanted a 3yr but I had flexibility.
Do folks usually get the extra warranty when you lease?
