It's been a relatively quiet last 20,000kms so I knew it was time for something.
On the way home the temperature gauge started to climb. Which is the first time I have ever had this car start to overheat.... Looked ok, so started again. I turned the AC off but left the blower on and bumped the temperature up thinking this would help... It seems to have done the opposite and forced the temperature to climb again. The overflow in the expansion tank started letting out some pressure. So I turned the blower off altogether and the temperature dropped steadily straight away... I was then able to drive the rest of the way home without any issues.
Does anyone know what causes this to happen both when AC is on and only the Blower is on?
