2001 540i 6MT 70k miles
Just started today. Had the clutch & flywheel, accessory tensioner and belts done, plus all fluids replaced about 500 miles ago.
It's a high-pitched whine, almost like a whistling sound.
Occurs while in gear above 2000rpm.
Stops when dropping below 1500 or when in neutral.
Did a search but found mostly fan clutch, power steering or vacuum leaks listed as source. Had a full inspection done at time of repairs and all was okay or fixed aside from the LF wheel bearing and LF swaybar links. (ordered a new set of pilots to put on before fixing those and getting alignment done).
Possibly a clutch issue?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Cheers!
