I have been doing some reading and there seems to be some disagreement on what turbochargers should and should not have restrictors. It is generally agreed that a ball bearing turbo can benefit from having a restrictor. But when it comes to journal bearing units, some say that no restrictor is bound to blow seals and start pushing oil, and some say that no restrictor with a -3 or -4 is the way to go.
My setup is a top mount turbonetics journal bearing t3/t4 with a -4 supply, the return is -10.
Who is running what kind of supply, on what turbo, with what kind of return? Do you think I should be running a restrictor?
Thanks dudes. ;)
