While driving on the freeway at 75 my temp gauge shot up pegged in the red, I immediately let off and started to pull over, but as I was coasting the needle dropped back to normal. This happened a few more times during the same trip and has been occurring ever since. The thermostat was replaced in December 2014 and only has 6,000 miles on it since replacement. Any ideas to what this could be?
Overheating issues?
