Pix upload - same method, different results

I uploaded a few pix to a thread that I have in the E38 section. I used the same method for each picture (the upload photo dialog box on the forum toolbar) however two of them are in the body of the post, and one show up as an attached thumbnail. I have noticed that sometimes pictures upload with different results. Can anyone explain why? I do use photobucket for some pix but not all the time. This is only when I use the forum tools.
