Sport seat swap

I have the standard (crappy) seats in my '99 2.3. The tilt mod did help alot, but the seats are just cheap. I like the look of the M seats and was wondering if the M and Sport seats were the same and completely interchangeable?

I've seen a few posts where the seats have been recovered with upgraded leather. Pondering the idea of recovering an old set of M or Sport seats and replacing.

So, what do I need to know that I dont? Suggestions?
