If I ignore a Caveat, do not issue a warning and do not disperse the estate what can the caveator do? Can I put the money to one side indefinitely and await either court proceedings or until they cease extending caveats? I am sole beneficiary and executor. The value of the estate amounts to 20k. If they issue court proceedings I will deal with this but would rather not issue a warning and make the caveat permanent, then have to start court proceedings myself. Could I in effect wait it out until the contenscious party pop their clogs and then give the money to Dogs Trust? I can't see the point of using up this small legacy on legal fees fighting a vexatious claim.
