Does anyone know the proper way to test exhaust backpressure on M62TU? Some have suggested that I may have an obstruction or cat starting to clog.
The instructions that came with the tester say to test and record pressures at idle and 2500, but other people have told me this is not right and that it needs to be done at full load and WOT. The lead on the hose isn't even long enough to do that, so I'm wondering if idle and 2500 is good enough. This is how my exhaust shop did it and they said the results were normal. I have videos of both sides being tested.
I don't have any cat efficiency codes, which you'd think I'd have if something was amiss with the cats, but I'd like to test anyway. I don't know what to look for though.
