For sale is my dream car 1997 E36 BMW M3 with 111,000 miles on it. I've had this car for four years and put just under 10,000 miles on it. The car was stored in the winter and covered when outside in the summer. The person I bought the car from was also a meticulous caretaker of the car and installed an incredible amount of tasteful upgrades that increase performance, but do not take away from the stock look of the vehicle (a big plus for me). I have receipts for just about everything, including Dyno test results from a few years ago. I really love this car - this always was my dream car, but my wife and I now have two kids and it never gets driven, so it seems like a waste to let it just sit.
Upgrades/Noteworthy Items:
Repainted roughly six years ago, black with blue flake in the third coat of clear
Clutch replaced around 30,000 miles ago
Stock Lightweight Wheels, staggered
Tires - only a couple thousand miles on Hankook Ventus V12 all around
Short Shift Kit
UUC Weighted Shift Knob with M emblem
UUC E-brake Handle
UUC Stainless Steel Brakes/Clutch Lines
Clutch Stop for cluth pedal
Brake Pedal Covers
Leather seats were dyed to preserve life
M50 manifold (adds roughly 30HP)
Chip for 93 octane
Intake
Exhaust (Sounds absolutely AMAZING)
H&R Springs/Struts (handles better, but rides smoother than my previous E36 325IS - I didn't expect this)
X brace, Front Strut Tower Brace (Racing Dynamics)
Hawk HP+ Pads with StopTech cross drilled and slotted rotors (stops faster than any vehicle I've ever ridden in)
Brass caliper bushings
Brake fluid was replaced yearly by previous owner
Euro Clear Corner Lights
Halo HID Headlights/Foglights
Aftermarket stereo head unit, with a stock amp, JBL speakers in the front, including Bavarian Soundwerks 6x9s in the rear (just enough bass). (I also have JBL speakers for the rear, but I prefer the Bavarian Soundwerks 6x9s)
VDO Gauge Kit
BMW E36 Floor Mats
Tint - looks like 25% in the rear (very dark), 35% in the front (less dark)
Valentine One hidden remote display
BMW E36 Specific Air bag light reset tool ($125 value, costs $95 at dealer to have it reset)
BMW E36 Specific Code Reader/Reset tool ($125 value)
Recently replaced parts:
Tires (mentioned above)
Brakes/Rotors
Headgasket was replaced the summer I bought it, including all gaskets associated. The car NEVER overheated, there was blow between cylinders which caused a loss of power.
VANOS was rebuilt during the headgasket replacement
Previous Owner:
Water Pump
Spark Plugs
Power Steering Lines
Cabin Filter
Front O2 Sensor
Minor Issues:
-The airbag light has always been on (doesn't affect inspection) and I'm told this has to do with one of the seat belt buckles.
-After the install of the VDO gauges (long before the headgasket replacement), sometimes at idle the oil light will turn on and then shut off when you touch the gas. It's never caused an issue, the race shop troubleshot it, but couldn't fix it. There are no issues with oil, low oil, or oil movement around the engine, it's a sensor glitch.
-The 11 button Onboard Computer display is dying. I have a replacement 18 button OBC included or there is a simple DIY fix on bimmerforums.
The car will come with a few extra hoses, parts, BMW E36 specific tools, and a racing helmet. I may add to this listing if I remember new items, so much has been done to the car, that I'm probably forgetting things. I'm hoping the buyer will love and care for this car the way I have, it truly is a rare gem. The car is in pristine condition and the handling is phenomenal. The car pulls hard, the exhaust sounds absolute perfect, and it stops on a dime. This is one awesome car.
More pictures are available upon request and at the below link. I plan on adding some shots of the under body soon. http://ift.tt/1CIDen6
Price: $12,499
PM or email is fine, serious inquiries only please. Low ball offers will be completely ignored, if I have to keep this car, I won't be devastated.
