Hi guys and gals, I recently picked up a 2003 BMW 325i from a buddy. Everything runs well and he's had no issues, sitting at about 100,000 miles. The one problem is that the air conditioning is wonky, and I was wondering if anyone has encountered this or has suggestions.
When I turn my regular A/C on, with just the middle vents selected. I get warm air out of the far right and left vent, and hot air out of the middle. Now if I also select the upper vent setting (by the windshield, somewhat of a defroster setting?) the hot air will begin to blow just from the vents by the windshield, and I will get frigid cold air from the middle. This can be replicated by turning on middle and feet vents. The feet will blow 80 degree plus heat, while the middle drops down to a frigid A/C level. Circulation setting has had no affect on the issue whatsoever. My A/C has been professionally charged up with freon and the problem continues to exist.
I will eventually have to go and get this fixed if it's not something I can do on my own, but I really don't have the money to do something like that right now. If anyone has any suggestions, can link me to tutorials or others that may know more it would be GREATLY appreciated.Th
Thanks!
