I have recently purchased a 2000 BMW 323i Touring and haven't had any major problems with it until recently.
I went on vacation over this past weekend (about 4 days) and when I came back, I noticed that my dome light was on. I immediately tried to start the car, thinking the battery would be dead, and it started right up. :) The next morning I came out to head to work and started up the car and my wipers came on and my right rear passenger window rolled down. I double checked the wiper stalk and it was in the off position. I tried rolling up the rear window and couldn't. I turned the car off and started it back up - the wipers were still going but I could roll up the window.
I drove the car to work (yes with the wipers going :rolleyes). I came back out and unplugged the battery to reset the computer system, thinking something had gone wrong with it. After waiting about 30 minutes I connected the battery again and started up the car. Wipers didn't come on nor the window issue. I thought, sweet! I then came back out when leaving work and started the car and the exact same thing happened - wipers and window.
I ordered and replaced the wiper relay with no luck - Drove the car yesterday after replacing (and disconnecting the battery) and no wiper problems until I let it sit for a bit and started up again to head home wipers and window once again. Pulled the battery again last night....started....no wiper/window problem.
Came out this morning to head to work...same problem, windows and wipers.
I noticed the windows didn't roll up quickly when I rolled this up this morning (battery failing?????)
Car drives fine otherwise. Still has the power, A/C, and such. Have the normal lights on the cluster (airbag needs replacing (light), cat 1 sensor is below normal (check engine light) and my traction control light is on stating that my T/C is off))
Can you all think of something I could check? It's getting pretty annoying.
Thanks,
Nathan
