Trying to help out a buddy with his new to him '99 323ic. About a week ago out of the blue he had a no crank. Dash lights light up- just no crank. He tells me it sat for a day and it started right up. Well, he brought it by today when it did it again (he bump stated it on a hill). I checked some basic stuff. I disco'ed the batt for about 10 minutes reconnected it and it started. Turned it off and it was not cranking again when tried 10 minutes later.
I read some and jumped the clutch safety switch- no love. He had to go and we bump started it out of the driveway. It'll be back soon and I'm looking for ideas. I know e30's like the back of my hand- this is a bit different. All theories welcome. Thanks.
