I recently sold my '98 740iL and swapped a number of parts from it to my '95 740i (236k miles). Maybe 6 or 7 years ago, the original '98 CD changer died, so I put the '95's in it and it's been working fine. Now that CD changer is back in my '95 and when I hit the CD button on the MID, I get "No tape" message. There are only a few connections to the CD changer and I've got them connected. Also checked the connections to the radio, etc.. and all look good. Any ideas as to where to go from here? Thanks much.
CD changer from my '98 into my '95, but can't get it to work. Please advise......
