What are my tach/gauge options - Ford 5.0 into M3.

I've gotten everything working well except for the tach. Unfortunately the tach was screwed up before I even started the conversion so it's no good to me. It basically just sits at 3000rpm when the car's running and doesn't move.

Oh a whim, I grabbed a cluster out of a 4cyl E36 at the junkyard and plugged that in to my car and the tach worked great, but of course the indicators weren't correct, it shows 100,000 more miles than my car has, and the 4cyl gauge cluster had some terrible broken glow gauge faces adhered to it.

I'm worried that the stock M3 tach will expect ignition pulses from a 6 cylinder and my Megasquirt can either send it 8 pulses or 4, which is why the 4cyl tach works.

To make things worse, I already modified the M3 cluster to have a wideband gauge in place of the stock coolant temp gauge. I could always redo that on a new cluster though.

Can I somehow cobble the two clusters together to get the 4cyl tach in the M3 cluster? Or do I need to buy a used M3 cluster with a working tach and somehow change the face scale?
