I have BMW 2001, 3 Series, M54. BMW was recommended Castrol. I live in Georgia. It is between Europe and Asia. There are Turkey and Russian near us. I was finding what type oil should I use in my region. Castrol do not written this information in the web page.
I know that I need LL -01 type oils. but what about numbers? - In the other words, Can I use Castrol 0w-40 or 5w-40? Which will be better in summer? Or Can I use both of them? I change oil every 6.5 kilometer. And I use Euro 5 standard fuel, petrol. Because of LL-04 standard is created in 2004 year I do not want to get LL-04 Oil. I prefer to get A3/B4 LL-01 oil.
Could you tell me if I can use Castrol 0w-40 or 5w-40 and if there will be any difference? Also I can use M1 0w-40 but many people tell me that Castrol is better then M1.
In my Gergion maximum temperature in summer is 40 Celsius. and In winter sometimes there is -5, or might be -15 too. Id depends on year. -20 is maximum fixed. but I did not remember that temperature. mostly might be from -5 to -12.
