A local garage to myself has a 1992 850ci for sale, 125k miles, mixed history, in white.
The car has had some paint int its life on a rear quarter, the front grill has broken but it looks fairly uptogether. The other problem is it goes in to limp home mode after a few minutes of running and shuts down to 6 cylinders.
Now the owner of the car gave this to a local garage for him to look at, fix and then sell. The garage can not fix the car, the owner does not want to spend much money on the car trying numerous bits as the eventual ending he wants is it to be sold...
The car has been offered to me for ~£2.5k.
I have basic hobby mechanics standard, I built up a mk1 escort which I own still and tinker with a mopar also. The electrics on these look full on and I'm not sure if this is going to be a money pit of doom!!!
Assume the car has been on some diagnostics, some 'sensors' have been replaced. They are trying new HT leads next...
What do you guys think?
