As the title states, my washer fluid reservoir is leaking and before even determining the leak, I decided to just replace all 3 grommets since that's the only place it can really leak. The middle one is the only one of the 3 that is made by Rein while the others are genuine BMW. (middle is only avail in packs of 10 with gen. BMW) Turns out that after replacing this it STILL leaks but at a much slower rate. I've taken apart and removed the grommet a second time to re-seat it and tried not pushing the pump down all the way and after checking this morning, STILL have the leak. There is a tiny filter/strainer at the end of the pump nipple when I first removed the original grommet but have since lost it inside the reservoir. Not sure if that is supposed to be wedged on the back side somehow to keep pressure on the sides of the grommet but this seams unlikely because the leak is definitely coming from the hole where the pump stabs through, now the outer area.
I'm sick and tired of the leak and the stupid low fluid warning. Is there a better way of fixing this short of emptying the fluid and taping the fluid sensor closed so it always thinks it's full? :mad
