Ahoy,
While I'm still fiddling with my E32, I have a couple of questions that might lead to discovering other issues I might as well fix while working on my no start problem.
1. O2 sensor - should I just go ahead and replace it?
Thing is I can't tell if it is broken or not... Here's what happend: I was on a bad country road at low speed and some half mud buried branch decided to pull on a cable underneath the car. I found this 2 days later while checking overall car condition on a highway parking lot: basically I saw a wire hand from what I guessed to be the exhaust system's catalyst. It had a few small abrasions on it like it would have been dragged on concrete.
I managed to tuck the wire snuggly in, but did see it's been pulled at enough to uncover the actual wires; therefore, I can't tell if it is damaged or not. Based on what I read so far about the O2 sensor, it messes up with the car's ability to mix fuel properly. Would this have any relation with my no start issue?
2. Electric windows buttons
Last evening it looked like the light for these buttons is on even if the car is not started or key in position 1 or 2.
Is this normal? How much of a drain would be on the battery?
